A Purebred Stallion owner who donates a stallion service to the annual Silver Sire Breeders Stallion Service Auction will be issued a “Right to Show” certificate to be used for entering the Auction Class the following year if the stallion service sells. The “Right” allows the stallion owner to show a yearling by that stallion or transfer the right to someone to show a yearling by that stallion. The yearling will get a free entry into the regular futurity. “Free entry” includes the mare nomination fee ($150) and weanling renomination fee ($25.00).

  1. A breeding owned by someone other than the stallion owner can be donated to Silver Sire
provided Silver Sire receives written approval of the donation by the stallion owner. If the
breeding sells, the breeding owner will receive the “stallion owner rights.”
  2. A “Right to Show” is transferable and must be used in the year following issuance.
  3. The yearling to be shown does not have to be identified until the close of entries.

“RIGHT TO SHOW” (Auction Purchaser)

  1. The breeding purchaser will receive a “Right to Show” the resultant yearling in the auction class held 3 years after purchase. The yearling will receive a free entry into the regular futurity. “Free entry” includes the mare nomination fee ($150) and weanling renomination fee ($25.00). A weanling renomination form must be completed and submitted.
  2. The “Right to Show” the resultant yearling is transferable.
  3. An Auction Purchaser Breeding Notification Form must be submitted the year the mare is bred.

GAMBLERS SPECIAL

Gamblers Special classes are open to any Half-Arabian desiring to compete (entrants are not required to have been nominated through the mare nomination process). Class fee is $100, all of which will be awarded as prize money to the entrants. Silver Sire Breeders reserves the right to cancel the “Gamblers Special” classes for lack of entries or to combine the yearling fillies and colts/geldings into one class.
In 2008 Silver Sire will be offering non-Arabian stallions into the auctions. The proceeds from the non-Arabian stallion auction will go to the "Gamblers Special" classes in 2009.
